Ship over Navigation

The cycling bug bit me a couple of years ago when I was 15. I started out by using my Dad's old road bike and then in March 2010 I raided my savings and bought a Raleigh road racer. Late last year the challenge of John O'Groats to Lands End could not be resisted and the planning started.

I decided that while completing this challenge I could put the effort to good causes and raise money for charity.

Adam

The Charities

Scunthorpe Hospital Neonatal Unit.

Despite currently tipping the scales at 13 stone I came into this world at 3lb 5oz and owe a lot to the team at Scunthorpe baby unit, NICU.

As a family my sister was the first baby moved into the new neonatal unit in 1992, in the days of Sister Sue, arriving at 2lb 2oz.

New equipment is always needed and this will be a great cause to raise money for.

Cancer Research Uk

Every family usually has or knows somebody affected by this disease and I have lost grandparents to cancer. Finding treatments or cures needs considerable research and money for this reseach will be put to valuable use.
